1 hr of exercise = 4 hrs of improved focus

One hour of vigorous exercise will give your child with ADHD, four hours of improved focus many experts say.

How to encourage exercise:

  • Keep it new - novelty helps the ADHD brain

  • Mix it up - change activity (bike, hike, run, walk, scooter), change the place (bike track, park, nature reserve, bush walk) change who to exercise with (parent, sibling, friend) change the days of the week.

  • Work with their talents and interest

  • Spontaneously be active - park the car and walk the rest of the way to the park, shops
